Here's what today's reading tells us about Jesus, the head of the church:
- He's the image of the invisible God
- Firstborn over all creation
- By Him all things were created
- All things were created for Him
- He is before all things
- In Him all things hold together
- He is the head of the body, the church
- He is the beginning and firstborn
- In everything He has supremacy
- God's fullness dwells in Him
- Through Him God reconciles all things
- Peace came through His blood shed on the cross
